The Guardian UK has recently detailed a guide to the best methods of tick removal once you’re bitten and other steps to follow post-bite to ensure that you can don’t miss key signs and dangerous symptoms.

The article features commentary from Professor James Logan, head of the department of disease control at the London School Of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.

In the piece by Moyà Sarner of The Guardian, Logan offers the following tip:

“If you are out somewhere where there are likely to be ticks – particularly moorland, but anywhere where there are deer – you need to be checking yourself and your kids every hour or so, and especially when you get home. Even Richmond Park in London has ticks with Lyme disease.” (Source: The Guardian UK)
