Sydney is in the grip of a major tick plague that has been steadily spreading over the past few weeks. Health officials are warning that there is a serious health risk for children and how you remove ticks is very important to get right.
“It’s upsetting as a mother because if I had removed the ticks properly he wouldn’t have had the reaction that he got,” says Ms Maher, after her son got Mammalian Meat Allergy from a tick bite.
